His father in law bought the Amphicar in 63. He says it sat in bush for many years, then in 83 was taken to a truck shop and body work was done(yea right, note the cardboard in before pics) Again in late 90's was left stored in a underground garage, where I first saw it. At that time I told Fred its value/ if he wanted to sell it. No they decided to keep it AND I GOT IT BACK ON THE ROAD FOR HIM. I N 2000 OR SO I DID A TEMPORARY PATCH JOB TO FRONT INNER FENDER TO GET HIM THREW THE YEAR.
Over the years upgrade and repairs were done, but last year i told it it was time. For him/ and me/ as we are both in our prime. So in May 2021 the car came up to my shop for a total restoration. Pics up to the Bare metal stage att.
