With the talk about the Yahoo limitations, maybe this is a good time
to mention this again. I hope nobody is offended by my suggestion.
It is only out of respect for all club members that I mention it
again.
The AACA has a fantastic forum site
(http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat=) with many kind
and knowledgable folks (yes, even a couple of us Amphicar guys!).
They were quickly tossed and never heard from again. They have again
offered to us (Amphicar Club) our own place in the forums along side
marques like Lincoln, Auburn, Chandler, Stutz, Pierce-Arrow and
Marmon to name only a few. There is a fantastic picture site which
does not have the limitations of Yahoo. No annoying ads to slow down
your surfing. You can use HTML (colors, pictures and actual working
links) in the body of your message. Did I say it is FREE?
This is a win - win situation for all of us which I can not see a
downside to. Better visability for our beloved Amphicars in the
collectable community and in the general public eye as well. This
Yahoo site has served us well (Many heartfelt thanks to Mike!), but
we are out growing it. I think this opportunity to improve it by
leaps and bounds should be given some serious thought by all. They
(AACA) are only waiting for the word. I will not have them add a
forum without the blessing of the club, specifically from Mike
Isreal.
