Is escribe down? I havent been able to get to it in some time and the
amphicar list is much less usefull without it. Why yahoo can build an
international search engine but can't have a competent search in their
groups tool is beyond me. I'm about this close to setting up a WIKI or
a forum with all of this information neatly sorted into it.

There are better ways, why not just save the messages locally, there aren't
that many, about 1500 a year. Create a folder and a filter and in they come.
Then just search the folder for messages - can even save them to CD.

Outlook Express does all this for free although the search part is slow.
Google local search is better or try a different mail client like
Thunderbird or even full Outlook.

Forums are such a pain, the Yahoo email lists work great !

Yes, escribe does appear to be dead. Then again, this
would not be the first time it vanished for a while
and then returned later. I suppose escribe is a
classic case of getting what you pay for!
