When I rebuilt My amphi engine after it was abandon for 20 years The block was
solid with crud, They let it sit in "the tank" for a week before the cooling
system was clear. I couldnt get a pint of water in it before that. The fellow
that had the car before me drained the system after his last ride and the amphi
sat outside all those years. The mechanix of the engine were free (ie pistons
and crank valves etc..)The lesson learned is Do Not drain a vehicle when you
plan long term inactivity , the cooling system will crud up!!
