Thanks for all the good advice. I think I have the problem solved and will do
some testing tomorrow. One questions I'd like to toss out to all you Amphi
owners.
Check your two larger red wires which connect to your voltage regulator. One of
them simply runs a short distance from the starter solenoid. I've always
noticed this one connects to terminal A1 (left most) on the regulator. The
other Red wire comes from the harness and connects to terminal A (second from
left). My cars are this way as are most I've seen. This is also the way the
maintenance manual has them i think. Hughs wiring manual calls for them to be
in reverse order.
I wonder if it even matters if these are switched?
