No, it is not an anniversary edition. And I bet it is not a "Worlds Fair Car" That's what they meant.
There were a limited number ofwhite cars that were made specialfor the '64 Worlds Fair. They were white cars with red rubber, tops and tonneau covers. Used in a lake at the fair swimming and giving rides. Probably less than 10 were at the fair, no idea the number produced. I have seen only one in a photo. There are very few.

Tommy is correct! To the best of my knowledge, only the '64 World's
Fair and the Cypress Gardens cars were dressed in red/white. I do
not have a production number. There is no "Anniversary" car. What
would the (1964) anniversary be? The 3rd year of production or? It
just doesn't hold water! (OK, I couldn't resist!)

It is a NICE car, but incorrectly described. Maybe over priced a bit
too. IMHO

PS - Tommy, please tell Lynn I have have that album too! ;)

Re: Re: Ebay Amphicar Claiming Anniversary Edition??

Hi everyone! Not all "World's Fair" cars were white. I seem to
remember each of the 4 "common" colors represented. I was there in '64
& '65, it was in '65 my parents decided theirs would have to be red.
Now I'll have to get the old 35mm slides out again, that'll make my
wife happy!

Gary, red '64
