DUKW for Sale

I saw this add in the local paper, Charleston S.C. I met this gentleman
three years ago when he was restoring this DUKW for his business. At that
time it was in great shape. He also had a second one unrestored. Remember
the Charleston Harbor is salt water.

1942 AMPHIBIOUS VEHICLE (DUKW)
8ft. wide x 31 ft long
6WD w/25inch prop. Set up as a
"tour vehicle" w/Coast Guard

It's been for sale for two years, looks to be in great

Anyone know what a DUKW is worth?
I was driving home the other day when lo & behold,there's a Big-A@# WWII
DUKW in front of me.I managed to pull the guy over &talk to him.
I of course asked him if it was for sale.
He said he owned it for 6 years & everything is forsale at the right price.
Does anyone have any idea what they're worth??Tilllater..........KenRoy

I checked out the DUKW for sale on ebay. The one near my house is much
nicer. It was fully restored about 5 years ago and used in the Charleston
Harbor for a couple of seasons. It's located back on the welder's property.
My guess is the asking price is around $100,000. That's probably why it has
not sold in the two years its been parked there. If there is any interest I
will go by and ask about it and take some pictures.
Also, thanks for sending me the sunken Amphi pictures. Wow, there's
still air in the tires. My car's tires would be flat in a couple of years
just parked in my garage.
