I need to replace the ujoints and boots in my driveshafts. Mine are early shafts with the zerk you get at by removing the tonnel boot. Is there a replacment joint that will fit this shaft I can get at from the wheel well? Where can I get a boot for the shaft?

Thanks

These u-joints are from Allan Woodcock amphicarparts.com, i did not use them, but in other threads experts say they fit. I bought fantastic moldings from him.

Just measure carefully. Call Alan up. He is easy to get along with. besides a few different sizes, others have enlarged hole to make others fit. Later DTW

Any advise on replacing the drive shaft boot? I haven't taken it apart yet and am not really sure how. I pulled the entire suspension off at the axle tube mount and the axle shaft is still attached to the hub. Going to rent a puller like I see pictured on Dave’s site and will probably have a plate made like he suggests so I don't damage the hub.

Gordon Imports has boots for the (land) drive-shafts. They're about twice as long as the originals, and very heavy-duty. It's possible that your local motorcycle parts place may have just the right boot, since they're made for just about the same function and are just about the same size. Take your half-shafts in to find out and share what you learn!

This is a repeat subject. on this site.
anyway there are 3 different axle ass.
one has 23mm u joint with horible system of keepers.
I can get these but have to custom fit the new keepers.
I have also found a type of boot of a atv or whatever that works on them,, BRIGHT RED>
next is 27 mm.Bright red boot will work on it too . Allan has these u joints and Hugh has complete axles,, they are Very good and if your skilled can greed without taking boots off.
3ed is 30 mm type. over the shelf there is a U joint but has no greese fittings.
I have found one with fittings but I must machine them down a few mmm,s
so the cost per u joint is high
a great boot for these axles is aval. a Home depot in the central vac area. there about 3 ft long and a bit wider than the long hoses.
Very tight and must lube to slide over the steel spring collar.
