Crossing the North Sea

Check out the magizine article I have posted on the amphicar.com home
page. I re-printed it from a vintage clipping I have (This is NOT a
joke!). Quite the story!

David Chapman, do you know of this crossing? How far was it?

And here I thought this was a joke? Seems Wilfred went off the deep
end! (pun intended)

John you do a fantastic job keeping the website fresh with these
interesting articles. I can only imagine the amount of time and effort
it takes.

It is on the home page for www.amphicar.com I also put the scan of the
entire original article on the "Amphicars in the news" page too. There
are more to come!

I spend a lot of time looking for original documentation, photos and
articles all over the world to share with you guys. There is a lot of
historical factory information out there that people have that they
keep under wraps for who knows what reason. PLEASE SHARE IT ALREADY!!!
(If you just felt like I was speaking to you, then maybe you should
contact me)

If anyone has something, you can send it to me an I can scan it and
return it, or if you want to, send a high resolution scan to share
with our group.

Err, it is a joke -well it's satire, a very wierd sort of British humour, a bit like Monty Python, or the world famous quiz Mornington Crescent but a bit "harder". "Punch" and "Private Eye" are the main perpitrators. There are some clues in the text but you would need to bea fan of that sort of humour to pick it up. </tt>

Ron - At first when I got the article, I thought it was possible
(except for the growing the beard comment). Then I looked at the
distances involved (about 250+ miles) and looked up the magizine's
site. Then I figured it out. I have the original in "Amphicars in
the News" page on the amphicar.com site.

Tommy, I added the black car for you to the color chart. Does anyone
know the interior colors for it?
