It appears you are correct. According to one of those online
Norwegian-to-English translators, Morten indeed seems to be looking for
advice from owners about use of an Amphicar in sea water and concommitant
rust issues. But more importantly, he is pining for the fjords.

While mindful of the fact that such online translators are spotty at best, I
have taken the liberty of running your earlier reply through one. Here's
what it looks like in something resembling Norwegian:

"Et sp?rsm?l fra Morten, postert p? norsk (som ognta v?re det beste valget
for ? maksimere svar) :
Dette kommer fram v?re et sp?rsm?l om problemene v?rer som tilknyttet med
bruk Deres Amphicar i saltvann (havet).
Svar: akselererer Rust og korrosjon av sj?vannutsetting."

A question from Morten, posted in Norwegian (which was assumed to be the

This would appear to be a question about the problems associated with using
your Amphicar in salt water (the ocean).

Answer: Rust and corrosion is accelerated by sea water exposure.

Hello,

I did write that in norwegian aimed at the swede:-) (good job on
the english to norwegian translation, by the way, It is quite
understandable to us norwegians)

Here is my original question:

"Do you drive your Amphicar in seawater? I would like to hear what
problems and type of experience you have encountered. I have
considered driving an amphi in seawater, but am a little nervous with
regards to rust. Morten (from Norway but currently in the US)

Maybe others in the group have experience with sea water that they can
share with me.

Thanks, Morten.
