Well the move is almost complete. I finally got all my tools out of the shed at
my
old home/cabin and across the ice to dry land. The house/cabin will be sold in
about
a week. I'm really going to miss living remote on a lake but now that I'm
married
I guess it's time to grow up... NOT! My wife put up with a 7 mile daily boat
ride in
rain, fog. And evan thin ice did not scare her away. She lived there for two
seasons
through freeze up and break up. She plowed a mile of ice roads to the cabin on
the
frozen lake on thin ice with my atv. What a tropper! So yes I married her! She
stuck
it out and now has a much niceer place to call home. And I have a shop to work
on the
Amphicar. :)
Now to the point of this email... Living on Flat Lake led to the plate # of
FLATLK.
Now that we moved off the lake we have been wondering what to change it to. My
dear wife
came home with my all time favarate movie last week. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! My
10 year old step
daughter came up with a new name for Amphi. "AKCCBB" As in Alaskan Chitty Chitty
Bang Bang.
What do you think!

Here is the true story of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang cars.

One thing to keep in mind though..."CCBB" was a slang term used by
French soldiers during WW1 to describe an <ahem> "woman of the evening".
Say it with a french accent. The count called his cars that because of
their humble origins (aero engine in a homemade chassis). If needed, I
could find the article in Automobile Quarterly that tells the whole
story.
