Re Celina parade
Ah,... nothing like a parade! And
having experienced the Celina parade
the last few years (thanks to the
generosity of my Amphi friends) I
must say it is a very worthy event.
The townsfolk of Celina love our
Amphis - BIG TIME! Everyone waves,
we wave, and then we make a bunch
of waves heading towards the lake,
waves entering the lake, and more
waves from the lake, then there's
that Dave the Wave dude who makes
lots of waves & drinks, and of
course every drink spurs yet more
waves (but don't drink and parade
for safety sake). Waving is key
to being in a parade... practice
your homecoming queen/Hollywood
celebrity parade wave. It's all
in the wrist - and don't forget
to smile as those cameras click.
Now about dressing up an Amphi for
a parade. Marc's steamboat idea
is way cool indeed. This year in
our local parade in Scripps Ranch
we did the Red, White, & Blue theme
(won 1st & 3rd prize I might add).
In years past... hmmm, Oh yeah...
my Mermaid wife dressed as a Mermaid.
And once we even had a giant Dilbert
doll in the backseat. Gotta love a
parade. I seem to remember Amphi
dressed up once too (I'll dig up
that posting and repost it for ya).
Anyway, this year in Celina, Mermaid
and I will be bumming rides and
hopefully can hook up with a parade
bound Amphi. Love those parades,
love to make waves.
See ya in Celina!
