We missed last year but hope to attend this year. No postings yet about Celina and I'm wondering what the turn out will be. Who out there is planning to attend? Chris and I are looking forward to it.

Hi Gord

You'll be happy to know that, after almost two weeks of unsupervised Amphicar Ownership, I only had to leave it half-submerged on a beach for a night once. The Story is on www.garminthedog.com

looking forward to your visit on the way to Celina

Amphicar Lovers, Sorry for not posting updates to CELINA until now, but here is the first message related to the Lake situation and swim-in event at Celina.

We will swim our cars at Celina in 2011. That is the word I have gotten from the individual in charge of the Lake. The Community all the way up to the Governor of Ohio have gotten involved. $3.5 million in chemicals were injected into the lake for two weeks. Three dredgers are running and folks in the community are doing all that they can to fix the lake.

Unfortunately, our friend Louie at the Eagles is very sick and has not been at work for a few months. The Eagles have said that they will continue the same level of support as in the past, as they also have a good time when we are there.

If you did not receive the registration form from the News Letter or from Gordon’s Imports parts flyer, email me at larrydepasquale@yahoo.com

Cellina was a great sucess! the water did not stink, but was still very alge yuck..Larry was in the water helping load a LSC, he now has a horn growing on the back of his head and I think I saw a tail strating???IT WAS HOT!!! over 100 on way back from Indian Lake, many cars including mine had fuel problems, the heat boils the gas from fuel pump then your stranded. there is a cure..Later... Think there was at least 25 Amphicars, and then there was John C, What was that!...
He is so proud of it! Ina was up to her own self and took on most of the affair. No rest for the Volenters. I mad a bad luck award up and presented it to Ron T. Ron T, also recieved the Amphicar of the year award and he was taken back and speachless. a tear in eyes. everyone stood up and clapped!
We got a good early spot in the Sat. parade and no one had any isues as we could go quite quick. We did notice that the crowds were down, but again, the HEAT!
A great thanks for the effort for a new group to put the show on,
Next swims ... all the way to Sept!.Ron Herb and I plan to go to Kentucky.
