Celina 2001 Lodging

Steve is correct....the Holiday Inn Express it the hotel you asked about,
Ray. It is at (419)586-4919.

Two other options are the Comfort Inn (419)586-4656 and the Lighthouse Inn
(419)584-3625.

Both the Holiday Inn and the Comfort Inn have blocks reserved under
"Amphicar Club".

The Lighthouse Inn is a brand new hotel right on the lake....I haven't seen
it, but am assured it nice - why wouldn't it be, it's brand new! They would
not set up a block for the Amphicars....so that means that rooms will be
given to whoever calls first - Amphicar or not.

In order for the Amphicar people to get the most possible number of rooms in
the entire town of Celina, the best thing would be for us to fill up the
Lighthouse Inn first because the rooms at the other two hotels will be saved
for Amphicar folks till much later. If you're looking for something
different....and want to stay at a brand new hotel right on the lake (and
near a boatramp!), maybe you should give the Lighthouse a try!
At this point, I would guess that we will fill up all three hotels.

Best option for camping is the Kozy Kampground at (419)268-2275.

As of today 1-8-01 the Lighthouse Inn Celina is fully booked for July 27,28,
2001. The lighthouse has only 14 rooms. If anyone is handicaped they have 1
room available. I dont think mental handicap will qualify. Robert Wright

As always, the hotels in Celina for the Swim In are filling up. I have just
been told by our contact in Celina that there is a new Bed and Breakfast in
town with rooms available. It is called the Heiser Haus and can be reached

Dates for the Swim In are July 27-29.
