If your idea of a perfect day is sight seeing and riding around in Classic Cars and Mahogany Speedboats, you're going to love this upcoming activity! The Classic Car Club of America, North Texas Region along with the Texas chapter of the Wooden Boat Association and some Amphicars are getting together on May 21'st at Grapevine Lake in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Lets get together for a day of fun in the sun of kicking tires, taking sight-seeing wooden boat rides on beautiful Lake Grapevine compliments of the WBA, a ride in some of the beautiful classics to/from shopping areas compliments of the CCCA, and giving rides in our own unique vehicles to the Classics and WBA members and their families. The wooden boat guys are bringing a minimum of 10 beautiful restored mahogany speedboats to ride in and enjoy. The classic guys will bring vehicles along the lines of a '39 Green Goddess or a '47 Caddy etc.... A catered barbecue lunch with all the trimmings, iced tea, and lemonade will be set up at noon, in our own private parking area above the boat ramp and dock. That will be $10 a person payable in advance directly to the CCCA/NTR with a deadline of 5/18 (so we can get a good head count).

Also, let me know (Al Heath .... aboat2 on the Amphicar.net or 817-491-9140) if you're coming and I'll send out more specific details and last minute things. This is not a "public" show like Mt Dora but rather owners and families. BE SURE TO BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIRS and be ready for a great time.

When: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21st, 2005

Where: Silver Lake Marina on Lake Grapevine - Take the Bass Pro Dr. exit off of Hwy 121 (north of DFW Airport) and go west .8 mile until it dead-ends into Hwy. 26. Go west (left) on Hwy. 26 one mile, and turn right on Fairway Dr. Proceed 1/2 mile to Clear Lake Marina on left (across the street from The Cowboys Golf Course)
