Hi,
A year or so ago I had 15 new Solex Carburetors and offered them to members
on this list. I sold all of them quickly except one which I kept for
myself. These are true Solex units ready to bolt on. (not the Zenith units
which look similar but are not set up for the Amphicar, run poorly and cost
$300.00 plus core.) These are the only pure Solex units I've ever found.
This week I was contacted by the same source who supplied the last batch and
they found more of these carbs in their stock. I can get maybe 10 more.
The price will be a bit less than before at $265.00 each. +5.00 to ship.
If you didn't buy one last time please consider buying one now. I didn't
expect these to come up and don't feel it will happen again. Amphi original
carbs are getting old. Gordon has been having problems finding good cores
to rebuild for several years now. I don't want to see these carbs get away
from us but won't buy them if no one is interested. I consider a carb a
must have item for the shelf considering the history of Amphi and all the
past carb problems I've had. Our cars our becoming more valuable all the
time and certainly a good carb is a wise investment.
I know it's expensive but considering their cheaper than the price of a
rebuilt old one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why not while you can?
