brake springs

When I purchased brake lines from Gordons, they did not include the
little sleeve that goes over the lines and attaches to a spring to
keep the line up and out of the way. Should I order this, or will a
simple band clamp and a sleeve of tubing work in the same capacity?

Only the early cars had theseand the general view is that they are not necessary as long as you arecarefull about fitting the hoses and check they don't touch the tyre. </font>
