Boat Registeration

Bill: In Michigan a boat is a boat, if you are in the water. It's a 3
year decal for $17.00. But there is only one guy in the registeration
dept here in town that can renew for me. We have a car title, but no
boat title, so he has to override the computer. It's always an
interesting experience. I think we are "inboard" on the form. Good Luck.

We are heading for Mays Landing in the morning. Going to meet Ina and
spend Saturday hopefully swimming with Billy. Let's hope for nice weather.

My Amphicar is titled as a car & registered as a boat. I have never
had a problem with the sec of state. Ray

I went to register mine today at Michigan secretary of state, the1989 title was no longer in the system. After over on hour of web searches and calls to the Lansing support team they issued me a watercraft title and an ORV title, no car title, no car plate. How do other Michiganders title theirs?

The Michigan Secretary of State has a title @ registration manual that is larger then Detroit's phone book. In that hole manual there is one page that has only one or two sentences about amphibious vehicles. Those sentences tell how to get the title & registration . The Amphicar can be titled as a car & if so cannot be titled as a boat, but can be registrated as a boat. Ray
