Blasted Body

SNOWBIRD

Amphicar Expert
A fellow in Northern Fl. has a rough car, he blasted the body doors hoods and is too far gone for him,Must have been in salt water!
I have lots of pics and will post a few here.
just to strip down a car and get it blasted (not sand) could set you back $3000 so your saving that!
This would be a candiadate for all my fibreglass panels, including the engine pod.as you can see this one is really rusted!EVERYWHERE,Front',' rear hoods shot doors bottoms gone.
He says it was mostly there when he stripped it.
windsheild was cracked thou, Looks like 4 wheels are on it for rolling around, all parts taken off are on a skid plate.
No report on condition of trany or motor as it was not running.
He says ownership is avalable.but not in hands as of today.
email me off line for more photos and his phone number.

$8000.00 for all,amphicar 022.jpgamphicar 021.jpg

Another salt water taffy car. Dip the whole thing in fiberglass roll on the mat and call her done! Gord buy it buy it buy it!!!

My car was much worse than this one as far as rust and holes. Maybe I was not smart enough to walk away. Wondering what color this car was before the blasting. They did a good job getting it down to bare metal. Looks like a nice project car for someone.

Yep,looks pretty good in that before shot as far as surface rust goes. It had huge holes in wheel wells and floors. Not pin holes, huge gaping voids of missing metal. 20 years ago this year. Your shop looks great!

Thanks. Your lucky you still have at least one young kid. The boys are 21 and 23 now. Having kids and an Amphicar was more fun than I could have imagined. I would love to have a redo on that part of life. Tell the Wife you have to go look at a project Amphicar in Florida !! We can make room for you. Dave
