Another Level of Social Isolation

OK, just thought I should share this info. This eliminates the need to ever go
to the Post Office.

1. You can access the US Postal Service site at http://www.usps.com/

2. Sure, big deal. But, if you "register", you can have the USPS ship to you (at
no cost), stamps and Priority Mail bags and boxes.

3. And here's the latest. You can calculate postage, for any rate, if you have
the package dimensions, weight & destination. And here's the big news; you can
then buy the exact postage (using a credit card), and then print an address
label and the postage. (All at no extra cost, just the exact postage cost.)

4. And, to complete the laziness, you can give the package to your letter
carrier when he makes his normal delivery. Weight limits may be around 40 pounds
(but check this yourself).

Sure, FedEx & UPS have some good points, but, for most of what I ship, this has
just made the USPS a lot more attractive.
