My Motorola (AM only) died again. Not sure if it was related to
the negative ground conversion or if the vibrator just gave up the ghost as
it seems to periodically. Now that I'm negative ground I thought I'd go for
a period look, but a touch more modern - AM/FM with actual pushbuttons!
Then I will try using a thumb MP3 player w/ low-power FM broadcast to the
radio as does John Friese. His worked quite well.
Do you know if this particular knob spacing and cutout size has an
identifier like a specific DIN or equivalent?

I don't know of any particular vehicles, but I have a box full of old 60's
AM, AM/FM 12vol +/- radios.
I haven't looked at them in years, but I think most are Motorola & they all
fit the Amphicar.
