Well just a quick note to say that the paint code on the club web site for Lagoon blue is a little to dark (ok not even close) PPG#12077

After a few calls it seems that the Dupont code from Gord should be good
is spectromaster.1995 valueshade2 premier (enough info for blue code?)

**another quart of paint for the shelf -- yippee** :032:

enyone have a better recipe ???????
Thanks - Dave

Yea, looks like you figured out how to get on Dave.
I often wonder wy no one chats on here..
It is so Tough to get on the 1st time.
That blue is so exact I blow in NOS painted cars and there in no Difference. Dupont premier,, Spectromaster blue.Value shade 2
All the colours I have used for the cars are on my web page,Go to my parts list, then to the last entrys ,You will find the information near there.
Red cars or rims on white cars.
1990 chy, is close look at there paint chips at paint store. Most of us Use 2000 Viper Red, its a little brighter and looks great.
Tommy in Tampa.. I gave you a can of Red with your car, its the Original red,, see if there is a code on it....
the green (I call it MINT GREEN) is a perfect match,GS430n spectromaster green.. 1995 value shade 3....premier single stage mix Dupont
the white people have a lot of fun with, seems they make it too white and just looks wrong or they put too much yellow in it and looks wrong to.
The code in my parts list is the correct colour.1977 Peugeot ..........Dupont #1473 45425N
All knobs, and steering wheel etc, are a shade darker(more yellow) than the white cars outside paint..
I am away from my Paint shop till Mid April , but I do keep all the cans with Dupont codes etc. written on them and can help more then.
If doing in single stage you can not beat Dupont Premire for a good easy to aply, high luster job.

Paint code 12077 for lagoon blue seems to be dark - compaired to a match of a original hood and lower rear quarter panel match.

My car is a late car with crincle dash and large axle tunnels. I guess the real question is -was there a standard to colors on these cars? I would guess no
But it seems like With all the timeless hours of metal work and epoxy primer
its worth makin it as close as possible.

After I borrowed glove box from a gracious club member (THANKS KEITH) and matched that it really looks more like the N.O.S or original color.
(My Professional paint guy agrees)
Thanks again for the help Keith and the paint code -Ill let you know what happens
Thanks Dave

Does anyone have a code for red to paint my wheels on a white car? Gords site says 1990 chy. but I think the paint store will want more information. Jack

Hi,

Here is the paint code that I use for my wheels that Bob
Russell was kind enough to give me. A few years ago I
saw his beautifully restored white car in Celina and I
thought the red paint on his wheels was the perfect shade.

OMNI-AU MBC2349 A MILLE MIGLIA RED TINTING GUIDE
M134-339.4 M130-172.4 M120-18.0 M150-529.9

Hope this helps-
