Amphicar Lover Request

Hi everyone,

This is a long shot, but I'm an Amphicar fan who doesn't own one of
these beautiful
machines (yet), and I just read Mike Israel's FAQ on buying an
Amphicar, and, in it,
he suggests prospective owners contact existing owners to try and
arrange
a ride, if possible, to see if this is something a prospective owner
really wants
to get involved in, so, that's what I am doing.

I live in Los Angeles, CA, and, if anyone out there in northern or
southern California
would consider bringing along a kind, geneous individual who is willing
to pay
whatever you deem reasonable, I would really feel blessed.

I have always loved the Amphicar, ever since seeing an ad for one in
Auto Trader
while I was in high school. I can't even imagine what it would feel like

to drive right into the water. To me, there is something very kid-like
about the
Amphicar, and I mean that in the most positive way. I'd imagine owning
an Amphicar
makes one feel alot like a kid, and that really appeals to me.

If you're willing to offer any tips, or if you want to know anything
about me, please
e-mail me and I will answer any questions you may have. If you're not
able to help
out in this regard, I understand, and think it's wonderful
that you have an organization to keep these incredible works of art very
much alive.

Best Regards,

David Lyell
