Amphicar in the How Stuff Works

With all the nice weather and spring chores requiring attention, it
took a while but I finally got caught up on the amphi digest,
especially the Amphicar reference in the Aquada posting... Thanks Ken.
Hey Warren, is that you and Lisa....
<http://auto.howstuffworks.com/aquada7.htm> ?? But that sure don't
look like the green water of Ohio!

Yes, that's Lisa and me. How did they get that picture? It looks like it was
taken
at the First Texas Swim-in at Volente Beach on Lake Travis. You can tell it's
not
Celina because the water is crystal clear. (GREEN water isn't all that bad...)
Apparently, it's Dave and Sue in their red Amphi in the background.

In addition to the usual Austinites there will be several other people showing
up at
this year's event, the Forth Annual Texas Swim-in, April 16-18, 2004. We may be
changing plans to visit the hill country as this will take us away from many of
the
water activities closer to Austin. During the Friday night get-together we will
decide on what type of tour the group would like to have on Saturday. I've been
checking out different ramps on Lake Travis and Tony has made many friends that
have
private ramps on Lake Austin. All-in-all this should be the best swim-in Austin
has
ever seen!

Keep up the good work, Warren! You may end up with
some 'surprise' NW "guests" if we can ever figure out
our homeward route after Mt Dora.
