AMPHICAR.COM & PAYING DUES

Happy holidays to everyone! I've been trying to log in to the website to use Paypal to pay my dues. The site appears to be "dead in the water". I have not been able to access it. So, I decided to send a check. The Sept-Oct issue of "Wheels-n-Waves" says to send the check to Pat in Ohio, a letter I received from Kentucky, after the newsletter, says to send the check to John in Illinois! My question is, of course, where do I send the check, or is the website going to be up and running so I can use Paypal? Thanks.

I saw the same thing and Asked John. He said send to him but you can send to eather I guess.
Waiting till Im back in USA as mail from here is $1.05 now.

Hi Guys. It has been a while since I have been on this forum and noticed you had questions. I noticed the website down 2 weeks ago and called Larry Solheim(Webmaster) and he informed me of the following in the past week:

As of this morning I have managed to dig out that our host had put the website account on hold due to “phishing” complaints. They identified certain files that had suspicious information. After further discussion it appeared that the website had been hacked on/about December 11.
I convinced them to restore the website with the promise I would clean it up, but upon ”restoration” there was no website, only a white screen. Using some website tools to evaluate the folders and files it appears that all of the administrative folders were empty, thus accounting for no website. Of course, the “suspicious” files were not there either. I am continuing to work with them to restore the website.
I’ll keep you posted.

Regarding the dues. You can send checks to Pat Depasquale (Our Treasurer) 1096 E. Spring Valley Paintersville Rd. Xenia, Ohio 45385-9722 payable to IAOC. in the amount of $30.00. Or you can also go into your paypal account and send to contact@amphicar.com $30.00 and we will see who sent it and credit you for your membership until the site is back up and running.
