AMPHIBIAN
of the YEAR
The big national Swim-in at Celina draws near once again, and the IAOC Board
opens the nomination process for that most prestigious award of Amphibian of
the Year. We invite all members of the IAOC to submit nominations for
Amphibian of the Year (AotY).
Later, we will have a vote, but for now, we need nominations. So, here are
the ground rules:
1.
Despite the IAOC being a fun car club, the AotY award is a serious
recognition of one individual's service to the Amphi community during the
past year.
2.
The definition of "service" is left to you; however, the ideal
candidate will have performed efforts to help the Amphi community on a broad
basis.
3.
Please provide a short rationale for your nomination; just a
sentence or two will be fine.
4.
Nominations can only be accepted from current IAOC members.
5.
AotY is a once-in-a-lifetime honor, so previous AotY recipients are,
sadly, no longer eligible.
6.
Voting for the AotY will be limited to current IAOC members.
7.
The AotY award can only be presented to a current IAOC member.
8.
Thus far, here are the nominees for 2010 AotY:
*
Scott Brunner
*
John Capone
*
Ron Green
*
Gord Souter
*
Ron Trudeau
This is your last chance to make a nomination; I am closing the nomination
process at midnight (2400) PDT on Wednesday 5/12/2010.
Please email your nomination to me, <mailto:edprice@cox.net>
edprice@cox.net , your IAOC Membership Registrar. After I receive a
nomination, I will create a slate of nominees and delete your nominating
email. You will not be linked in any way to your nominee.
