Today at the Milestone Car Society Concours d? Elegance we took 1st
Prize in the Post War Orphan category. This is one of the major
California car shows and was the 14th Annual Fathers Day Classic. The
theme for the show was Orphan Cars of the Twentieth Century. I will get
some photo?s posted soon. They had my car in special circle of 5 other
cars such as Jay Leno?s Duesenberg, a 1922 Franklin, an Avanti, a
beautiful Cord Coupe and Wills something or other. (These car were not
all in the same class) I was competing with cars such as Studebaker
Hawk, Muntz, and Metro and Hudson. Jay Leno came and got his car in
the middle of the show (maybe because all the people were looking at the
Red Amphi). Anyhow, I am usually a very modest person but this was
quite a day for our cars. The fact that my car was 100% fresh looking
really helped. It was worth all the time I spent the last few days
getting ready. Now I can go out and have fun with the car and not worry
about a few dings or scratches. You guys and Gordon Imports have been a
big help. These have got to be the ?funnest? cars ever made.
