Bit of background on the windshields. The ones Hugh sells are made in Europe,
they are a perfect fit, the manufacturer has a process that copies an original
and can reproduce it to tolerences of less than a millimetre. I loaned the
manufacture a perfect original Sigla windshield and the result is the ones Hugh
sell are easy to fit and don't leak.
The traditional way to make windshields is using a wooden "buck" or pattern that
hot glass is dropped on to. You can't get the same sort of tolerance with these
and there were certainly some Triplex \ Solaglass windshields around a few years
ago that were not quite right and didn't fit properly at the lower corners.
I'm not sure which method the other suppliers use, but it's worth asking
especially if it's a "supply only" deal.
Also be very careful when transporting Amphicar windshields they tend to crack
from top to bottom in the centre, this part is not curved and because of the
laminated glass is not strong.
