Amphi-sub high speed entry YEE HAA!

If you would like to see a mini movie of a high speed "skip like a
stone" and go under entry at 30 mph downhill, look at my humble site
at amphicar.net (amphi-farm) under the new stuff button. Turn up the
volume and you can clearly hear a double hit, or skipping entry,
with the whole car going underwater, and popping back up again. I
was at a British car picnic 2 weeks ago and took the property owners
on a cruise. What a blast! A real hard hit and took on mucho water.
Thanks to the Bilgemaster for helping me update my waterlogged site,
and proud to say we have had over 10,000 hits in 4 years! Still in
the process of updating, but thought everyone in the chilly north
would enjoy seeing how us southerners (yea right) play in the
extended fall season.
Great newsletter I saw in the mail today, Marc is doing an
outstanding job with that. More people need to submit items to the
newsletter. Also, my renewal check is in the mail for next year, how
about yours?

I watched your mpeg, and you are a brave man!!

I recently did some splash entries with my Amphicar which resulted in
a fried starter motor and water in the engine oil.

Splash entries are great, but they may be too much follow up work for
me once you get back home!!

PS For anyone interested, please note that I have recently added
another unusual car to my collection...

Ray: Sounds like you might need to download a free media player from the
selections at:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/default.asp

The Version 7.1 found there should work just fine. Just choose the correct
download for your operating system (Windows 95, 98, XP, etc.) from the
pulldown menus, download and install it and restart your machine. Then,
when you visit Mark's page at http://www.amphicar.net/buoyant/newstuff.html
the film should play automatically. How long it will take will depend on
your Internet connect speed.

Just in case you have a Mac (seems unlikely if you're having problems), you
may need to update your Quicktime media player.

Your very large and beautiful splash entry is a one of a kind and was
much enjoyed at our house. Thanks for sharing.
The water wheelie is one thing the Amphicar has over any other car.
