Amphi flags

I have a great source for embroidered Amphicar flags if Elizabeth definitely
doesn't want to do them. Last time this came up (several years ago) she didn't
want to do them, and I posted to the list and offered my source, and then she
said she'd do them. I don't want to anger anyone, but she's still available.

The girl who does this embroidery is a housewife, active in the Chicago-area
Triumph club, who does computerized Swiss-type embroidery as a sideline. She
does lots of stuff for our Triumph club and it's very professional - at least as
good as any embroidery I've ever seen, and far better than most commercial
sources. She scans everything herself and then manually adds lots of custom
detail to the computer file that the typical commercial scanner would otherwise
miss. That personal touch really helps - she does all the work herself, and it
shows in the quality. In fact I just got some new samples of her work for
jackets she's working on for our police auxiliary right now, and they're
outstanding.

If there's some interest, I'll get a quote. It might be a good Amphicar Club
project.

Alternatively I would be willing to finance the run (with some advance orders)
and also have some extras made and keep them available for later sale. Once
she's set up, additional runs can always be made at a later date too.

Anyone interested, please post me off-list to avoid clogging the list.

Hi Karl,
You can put me down for at least two of them. You might see if there
would be a problem with doing the backgrounds in the four original
Amphicar colors. Certainly not a requirement but it might be nice.
