Brian did I not tell You to have your guy take entire car back?. Amphis
besides being made one at a time with jigs I am sure moved, previous
repairs and age change the door openings. Door needs to be built on car.
You can measure and use straight edge etc and door will still not fit.
But do not fear duct tape works great!!Later Dave the Wave-Midwest Amphicar

<tt>Mothers Day Flowers - Support the Amphi List
=======================================================
WHile the Amphicar list is provided at no charge, there is considerable time spent playing admin. Likewise, several hundred dollars have recently been spent on software and hosting for our potential move of the list. You can support these efforts by ordering flowers through one of the internets highest rated florists. Just follow the link below. It does
not cost you anymore but Growers sends a couple dollars this way for each order placed via the following link.

Brian I too have that problem, I got the door back from the bodyman and
when i tested it ? the seal at the bottom of the door did not touch at all ?
I called him up and he said that he will have to cut the bottom off again
and will charge me again becouse i did not tell him it had to seal to the
car . I told him if he matched the door in the first place we whould not be
having this problem!!
He said he did the door right and will not fix the problem? so i am out of
luck. and trying to figure out how to fix the problem. I think i am going to
glue a strip of plastic to the bottom of the door than put the seal on.
still restoring amphi PAUL

Re: RE: Amphi doors

WOW! Sounds to me like you need to find a body "person" who takes
pride in their work! Seems like most are only interested in the $$$.
I've been doing body/paint work for 30+ years and would never think
of "just fixing" the door without matching to the car, Amphicar or
Mack truck - parts need to fit! Gary.
