hello every one!! so i installed a/c in ours. i ordered an ELECTRIC compressor kit from amazon.
installed the comp in the bonnet next to the spare tire, used 2 bulkhead fittings, and squeezed the condenser and fan in the empty aera next to muffler.
I wrapped the exhaust pipe and muffler in hi temp header wrap, to lessen the heat. its really quiet, cold, and robs NO POWER from the engine.

Well, unless you have a separate battery for it, the electric power for the compressor is still coming from the alternator or generator, which is driven by the engine. Pictures?

um, ok.. its a 12v 33Amp A\C system, my customer had already replaced the OEM generator with a GM one wire 60amp alt. I've switched the vehicle to neg ground. ( those tiny wires in the fuel gauge were a nightmare!) the OE wiring was a mess so i removed it and replaced with a painless wiring kit, Deutsch connections, new relays, the works! anyways sir, with the ac on my voltage drops at the alt to 13.2v at idle. with everything on (lights, bilges, blowers and ac) at idle im at 12v, which is a problem, and easy to correct. but it recovers off idle so im not worried about it.
i have a post of the entire build on tiktok, @adam.b1979.
