Looks like they have no interest in what their customers have to say.
I find that really poor business practice.
Dear John, (oh great another "Dear John" letter!
Thank you for your recent inquiry. For future reference, your
Franklin Mint
account number is xxxx-x-xxxx.
It's a real pleasure to hear from you, and we do sincerely appreciate
your
interest in The Franklin Mint. To my mind, you're the kind of
collector
who makes our jobs doubly rewarding: A person who takes pride in
owning
Franklin Mint issues, and who cares about the quality and content of
our
work every bit as much as we do.
Your comments on our work are therefore always welcome, and will
always
be given full consideration, with just one exception. As you can
well imagine,
we receive many product suggestions each year, the vast majority of
which
have almost invariably already been proposed by our own artists and
other
creative people, and given careful consideration.
With that fact in mind, and the interests of fairness to everyone, we
long
ago adopted a policy under which virtually all of our product ideas
are
generated and developed by our own staff. Thus, as a general rule,
we simply
cannot even consider ideas from any outside sources -- no matter how
good
they might be, or how much we appreciate the thinking that led to
their
submission. Let me close by thanking you once again for taking the
time
and trouble to contact us. Believe me, we are grateful not only for
your
continuing patronage but also for your very real interest in The
Franklin
Mint.
Sincerely,
The Customer Care Team
