For a car with only 1112 miles, the interior has been changed,
engine has been out and painted the wrong color. I wonder why that
is? Do you know what the story is?

All I know is it originally belonged to a vacation resort.Like that
in the Movie "Dirty Dancing"..It was never registered and only used
at the resort which would account for the low miles. But it is
entirely possible that the hours used were a lot more than the usual
amphicar.Hope this helps. Randy

If it is red & came from a resort, It was probably one of Frank Davis
Resort's vehicles in Moodus, CT.
I have some knowledge about their vehicles, they had 4 or 5 Amphi,s Give me
a call.

John,

The engines in my Amphi's are black with copper colored rocker covers
like the red car on the ebay listing. That interior looks like the
correct color too. What are you seeing that I'm missing?

John,

The engine is incorrectly painted blue and the interior is brown. My
guess is the car has many hours on the water and many short drives
to the ramp. Typical Amphicar mileage I have seen many times. It
should make somebody a nice project.

I was looking at a red 67 Amphicar that is currently on an ebay
listing and all it's colors look correct. I guess that's not the one
you guys are talking about. Weird coincidence.

the "Photos" section here.
