1965 Amphicar 770, matching numbers with only 23000 original miles, interior was restored, brand new Coker Classic wide whitewall tires, runs and drives great in and out of the water, have video of it driving into the water and back out, so cool, you gather a crowd every time you go to the lake $55000IMG_2198.JPGIMG_2199.JPGIMG_2200.JPGIMG_2202.JPGIMG_2204.JPGIMG_2206.JPGIMG_2198.JPGIMG_2199.JPGIMG_2200.JPGIMG_2202.JPGIMG_2204.JPGIMG_2206.JPGIMG_2208.JPGIMG_2210.JPGIMG_2208.JPGIMG_2210.JPG

I have found what appears to be this same car for sale on Oodle and have contacted the supposed seller. I am trying to figure out if that is a legit sale or not. The gentleman that replied to me is 'Andrew B.'. He is offering the car for $29,400 which for sure seems way too good to be true. His story is that his father had it and passed away and that the has it with an auto broker in Santa Fe, NM. This is the link to the post: https://amphicar770.com/threads/1965-amphicar-770.21953/ It is also listed on Trovit: https://cars.trovit.com/listing/1965-amphicar-770-matching-numbers.1e761Y1j1M1p1h

I would appreciate your insight as to the legitimacy of this.

I wouldn’t trust trovit. Right now I’m looking at my car on their site and I didn’t put her up for sale. They seem to use old images that can be taken from previous active listings which have closed. Looks like a scam.

Tell him you are close by and will come right over to take a look at it. See if he gives you an address or disappears !

Do NOT trust anything on Trivet. I got scammed by an ad there 3 years ago while buying a Studebaker Avanti. The FBI arrested over 40 individuals involved. You are up against some real pro's - not US citizens either.
