I gave up on the salvage yard in Wisconsin that was going to sell me 1300s.
I was intrigued with the owner being English, but my lead told me that he
was a squirrel. I should have believed him and my gut. But I now have found
a supplier in Ohio that is a true Triumph guy. He is a lead from a car guy
that I absolutely respect, so I can vouch for him without knowing him.
I now have seven 1300s, one is a small bearing. They are inspected and miked
before they are sold to be sure that they are rebuildable. The small bearing
motor is for sale for $450, big bearing 1300s are $350. I have two 1147s:
They are $250. We will also give you credit for your old long block.
I also offer rebuild parts that are drastically lower priced. I can rebuild
your engine to "no compromise standards", or sell you the parts. But I know
that I can rebuild a motor correctly less expensively than you can; and we
guarantee our engines. Try to get a guarantee from your machinist. The NSB
Trailer Company stands behind its work.
We will deliver a rebuilt engine fast. Be done with your engine problems.
Whether it is high performance or stock, right is right. Our only option is
balancing.
And don't forget our rebuilt or NOS trannys. 3 sold so far, and 3 happy
owners. Through our "Search and Rescue" operation, we find lots of cars,
parts, engines and trannnys. Our parts list grows. It is now filled with
parts that are unobtainable....like wiper arms and rear reflectors.
Lots of guys say that you can't find Amphicars or stuff, especially at a
realistic price. We are changing that thinking. Our next car should be
obtained shortly.....club members will be the fist to know.
